Security in City Hall

Effective June 1, 2013, all visitors are required to enter only through the north side doors facing Alameda Street. Visitors will be required to do the following:
  • Pass through metal detectors / security wands;
  • Purses and bags will be searched by security personnel;
  • Obtain a visitor's pass.
When attending a meeting or delivering a solicitation response to City Hall, please allow ample time to go through the security screening process.

Principles and Practices of Public Procurement

In January of 2011, the City of Tucson Department of Procurement proudly became the first public agency in the country to adopt the Values and Guiding Principles of the Public Procurement Profession. In 2009, the National Institute of Governmental Procurement (NIGP) led a national effort to establish these standard values and principles for public procurement. The National League of Cities (NLC), the National Association of Counties (NaCO), the US Conference of Mayors, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and dozens of other public associations have become supporters and adopters of the Values & Guiding Principles.
